Why January Is the Perfect Time for Your Kindergartener to Start Dance

Many parents think that enrolling their child mid-school year is too late.  As dance educators, we’re here to say that’s not true! In fact, there are plenty of reasons why January is a great time for Kindergarteners to begin weekly classes.

By January, your child is well adjusted to their school routine which makes them more prepared for joining new activities like dance.  The structured environment of our pre-ballet class, in particular, helps them build upon the focus and discipline they’ve already developed.

Socially, winter class offers a wonderful opportunity for your little one to foster confidence, teamwork, and emotional expression—especially with colder weather and less outdoor activities. Plus, it’s a great physical and creative outlet for all that built-up energy from spending long hours indoors. Bonus points for you: they’ll have fun while developing essential skills!

Let your child step into a warm, engaging, and enriching dance experience this January...
